National Minority Donor Awareness Week

Sunday, August 1 - 7, 2021

People of color make up 58 percent of those currently on an organ transplant waiting list. Unfortunately, many of us do not receive an organ in time. We need organ donors! National Minority Donor Awareness Week is a special observance that honors the people of color who have been organ, eye, and tissue donors, and it encourages others to register as donors and take better care of their health in order to reduce the number needing a transplant. This year marks the 25th year of this national observance. Let’s take action. Please get on a donor list. You can save a life!
